Rolls-Royce has been teasing its luxury coupe sedan for some time now and we finally get to see it in full - meet the Rolls-Royce Specter. Well, it's kind of complete, as the company still hasn't started mass production and the first Specter units will ship in Q4 next year.
Rolls-Royce says it has created a new segment in the automotive industry - the ultra-luxury electric super coupe segment. It is the company's first electric car and plans to achieve zero-emissions by the end of the decade.
In terms of specifications, RR is a bit reluctant to mention exact numbers because there are still some ongoing tests. But preliminary data suggest the car will have 577 hp (430 kW), instant torque of 900 Nm and a maximum range on a single charge approaching 418 km. 0-100 km / h only takes 4.4 seconds.
However, Rolls-Royce says performance and efficiency are not the main goals and as always, strives to provide the most luxurious and comfortable driving experience. A high level of comfort is achieved by using the new Planar suspension which allows each wheel to work independently and easily overcomes high-frequency road imperfections.
On the inside, the Specter is nothing short of the usual Rolls-Royce luxury. It is also the company's most technologically advanced cabin with Starlight Doors incorporating 4,796 illuminated dots, while the seats are inspired by British stitching.
Another notable feature is the Specter's aerodynamic chassis. It is the most efficient body of the latest Rolls-Royce with a drag coefficient of just 0.25.
The car is positioned as a direct successor to the Phantom Coupe and will replace it in the future.
