The SEMA show in Las Vegas in 2021 is just around the corner, and Ford will be well-prepared with a total of six Broncos that have been customized by some of the most well-known names in the aftermarket automotive industry.
Six vehicles are being developed, four of which are based on full-size Broncos and the other two which are based on Bronco Sports. Utility, practicality, clever design, and over-the-top modifications are all present in this collection of SEMA builds, which is a refreshing change of pace from the norm. Ford claims that all of these vehicles are equipped with parts from the company's own Performance division, licensed partners, and other aftermarket suppliers, among other sources. Here's how they all compare to one another in terms of performance.
The first Bronco on the list is a fun off-road themed two-door variant powered by the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and based on the Badlands trim level. It is powered by the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and comes equipped with the Badlands trim level. It has been customized by Vaughn Gittin Jr. and RTR Vehicles and comes with a collection of Ford Performance and officially licensed parts, such as a performance intake system, a sport exhaust, and new off-road-ready Dana axles, among other things.. To complement the RTR forged bead-lock wheels and 37-inch tires, Fox Performance Elite 2.5 coilovers were installed in conjunction with an extended-travel suspension kit.
After the first full-size two-door, the second Bronco to make its debut at SEMA is a full-size two-door, this time based on the Black Diamond trim. It was created by BDS Suspensions and transforms the Ford Bronco into a makeshift fire truck, complete with an open-air rear section and bright red paint job. CrawlTek Revolution bumpers are available with recovery hooks and winches integrated into the design, as well as a skid plate up front for bashing through even the most difficult trails. To help the 37-inch BFGoodrich KM3 tires provide the best possible traction in any situation, Fox 2.5 PES coilovers, rear adjustable control arms, and disconnecting sway bars are installed underneath the car.
This is followed by the first four-door Bronco of the group, which is based on a Badlands trim truck that has been customized by Tucci Hot Rods. The Mattracks 88-Series quad tracks on all four corners give it true go-anywhere capabilities, making it the most ridiculous of the bunch, perhaps. A snowboard rack and a light bar are mounted on the roof of the vehicle. Even better, it's the only Bronco in the group to be equipped with the seven-speed manual transmission as a stand-alone option.
LGE-CTS Motorsports has reimagined this Outer Banks model of the Ford Bronco, which was the final full-size Bronco from Ford's selection. The vehicle is based on an Outer Banks model and is equipped with a 3-inch suspension lift, Baja Forged bumpers on both the front and rear, an upgraded sound system, and a number of useful aftermarket storage solutions, among other things.
The first Bronco Sport on the list is also the second vehicle to have been customized by LGE-CTS Motorsports, and both vehicles have received a number of similar modifications. There's a 2-inch suspension lift, rock sliders, off-roading lights, fender flares, and upgraded front and rear sway bars, among other things, on this vehicle. Along with the Warn winch, tubular bumpers, and a Borla exhaust system for the 2.0-liter Ecoboost engine under the hood, there are several other options.
Last but not least, there's this Badlands-series Bronco Sport, which has been customized by CGS Performance Parts to look like a beast. The bright red SUV is perhaps the most understated of the bunch, but it still boasts a substantial collection of upgrades that make it deserving of the Bronco moniker. In addition to the forged wheels wrapped in Toyo all-terrain tires, there are bumper and hitch enhancements, as well as rock lights and underbody lighting. In addition, the engine is equipped with a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust system.
